On August 25, 1956 James E. Ohliger opened
the doors of Ohliger Drug of Fairview Park for the very
first time. In 1996, some forty years later, James' children,
his son Tom Ohliger and his daughter Molly Ohliger Lavelle
carry on a proud family tradition, as fourth generation
pharmacists, and owners of the Fairview Park store at 21720
Lorain Road, and the North Olmsted Ohliger Drug Store at
25300 Lorain Road.
In many communities across
America, the corner drug store with its personal family
dedication has become a vanishing friend to those who rely
